AI GOOGLE ADS MANAGER

What is an AI Google Ads manager for local businesses?

The AI Google Ads manager for local businesses that never spends more without your yes.

LOCAL, NOT ONLINE STORES

Who is it built for?

Businesses that live on the phone ringing.

  1. Built for

Plumbers, electricians, heating and cooling, roofers, driving schools, home inspectors, dentists, cleaners, and the agencies that run their accounts. If your customer searches for a job and then calls you, it is built for you.

  2. Not built for

Online stores running Shopping campaigns judged on return on ad spend. Most AI ad tools are designed around checkouts and product feeds. VettedAd is designed around a person with a problem and a phone.

Contractors. Tradespeople. Tradies. Whatever you call it, if people search for the job you do, it belongs here.

WHAT NEVER SPENDS WITHOUT YOU

What can it do without asking you first?

Only things that cut waste. On a schedule, it can pause a keyword that is clearly not working, trim a bid that is borderline, or block a search that was never going to be a customer, and every one of those can be undone within 24 hours.

THE RULE THE PRODUCT IS BUILT AROUND

It can only cut. It never adds without your yes.

Automatic changes reduce waste. Anything that spends more, reaches further, or launches a campaign always waits for you.

  1. It can pause clear waste.

A keyword with enough clicks and no real chance of converting can be paused automatically, with a 24-hour window to undo it.

  2. It can trim a soft bid.

A borderline bid can be trimmed down automatically. It is never trimmed up without you.

  3. It never launches, and never adds.

A new ad group, a bigger budget, a bid increase, a keyword added: all of those are proposals. Nothing launches without your yes.

For comparison, Google Ads has its own auto-apply setting that can add broad match keywords and expand to Search Partners and Display without you approving each change. Google Ads Help. What needs your approval

FROM WEBSITE TO CAMPAIGN

How does it work, from your website to a live campaign?

Four stages. You review before anything is pushed to Google Ads.

  1. 01

    Find the buyers

It reads your website or a phrase, works out what you actually sell, and researches what people search for. Career, DIY and definition searches are removed, not ranked lower.

  2. 02

    One job, one group

Searches are grouped by what the person needs. An emergency burst pipe and a planned bathroom install become different groups, with different ads.

  3. 03

    Ads and pages to match

Each group gets its own ads and its own landing page, so someone searching for a burst pipe lands on a page about burst pipes.

  4. 04

Keep it clean, without adding spend

After launch, small waste is cleaned up automatically on a schedule. Anything that would spend more is proposed for you to approve.

WHO DOES WHAT

Who does what at each stage?

AI where judgment helps. Code where rules matter. You where spending grows.

Search Partners can be switched on deliberately in advanced settings.
StageWhat the AI doesWhat code enforcesWhat you decide
Keyword researchWorks out your services and curates searches into high and medium intentLow intent removed. Maximum 15 keywords per theme. If curation fails, the section comes back emptyWhich themes to build
Ad groupsProposes groups by what the customer needsSibling groups get negatives of each other so they cannot competeWhether each group is a different job
Ad copyDrafts 15 headlines and 4 descriptions per groupDescriptions must be complete sentences. Generic calls to action are rejectedWhether to generate, and what to keep

TrackingNothingForm, phone tap and WhatsApp are tracked as separate conversion actions. Missing tracking fails visiblyWhich contact options appear
LaunchNothingBroad match, Display and Search Partners are off. Launch is refused if Google Ads billing is not readyWhether it launches

WHAT NEVER SHIPS

What will it never do?

Six rules, set in code. Each one exists because it is how local budgets leak.

  1. Use broad match.

Phrase and Exact only. Broad match is blocked in research, in the AI tools and in suggestions.

  2. Show your ads on Display.

Display is always off on campaigns it builds. Search Partners is off unless you switch it on on purpose.

  3. Pay for people who were never customers.

Career searches, DIY searches and definitions are removed before they spend anything.

  4. Invent pages that do not exist.

A sitelink has to point to a page that exists. A one-page site gets none rather than fake ones.

  5. Share a tracking tag between businesses.

Each account has its own conversion tags. It never falls back to VettedAd's own.

  6. Pause a keyword before it has had a chance.

A keyword under 14 days old cannot be paused. A zero-conversion pause needs at least 8 clicks and a Wilson 95 percent upper bound under 2 percent.

WHERE EVERY CALL CAME FROM

Can you see which search produced each enquiry?

Yes, for pages VettedAd built. Each landing page records the lead it produced, and when that page belongs to a specific ad group, the enquiry is tagged to that ad group too.

Why Google Ads spends with no calls

  1. Three ways in, tracked separately.

A form, a tap on your phone number and a WhatsApp message are tracked as separate conversion actions, each with its own tag.

  2. Calls are not invisible.

If your only conversion was a form, every customer who rang instead would disappear from your reports.

  3. It waits before judging.

A 12-day conversion lag buffer and a 21-day grace period after launch, because conversions arrive later than clicks.

BEING STRAIGHT ABOUT IT

What is it not?

Four things worth knowing before you start.

  1. Not for online stores.

It is not built for Shopping campaigns or return-on-ad-spend targets.

  2. Not Local Services Ads.

VettedAd works on Google Ads only. It does not manage Local Services Ads.

  3. Not Google Ad Manager.

Google Ad Manager is a separate Google product for websites and apps that sell ad space. VettedAd manages Google Ads, which is where you buy ads.

  4. Not a pages-for-life deal.

Landing pages are hosted by VettedAd, so they come down if you leave. Your Google Ads account, campaigns, history and conversion data stay yours.

FROM REAL ACCOUNTS

What do we know that a research-only guide would not?

The rules that make a local account work are not secret. Keep career and DIY searches out. Give each job its own ad and page. Count calls as well as forms. Do not pause a keyword before it has had a fair chance. Most good agencies know all of that. The problem is that the rules live in somebody's head, and an account is only as good as whoever is looking after it that week.

VettedAd puts those rules in code. The low-intent strip, the 15-keyword cap per theme, the separate conversion tags and the 14-day minimum before a keyword can be paused run the same way on every account, every time. Some of that runs on a schedule without anyone clicking anything, but only in directions that cut waste: a clear pause, a small trim, a blocked search, each with a window to undo it.

What it is never allowed to do is add spend, launch a campaign or track on a guess. If a keyword list cannot be curated properly, the section comes back empty. If a conversion tag is missing, it says so. An empty section is annoying. A wrong one is expensive.
