Rule 01
Search Partners flagged
Detected and reported whenever partner search sites are left on. Budget meant for Google Search can soak there without looking like Display.
Account Audit
Connect the account. The audit runs seven areas and returns what is broken, what is costing you, and what is already right. Settings traps that never appear in a performance report are named first.
The problem
A performance report tells you clicks went up and cost went down. It will not tell you the campaign has been on Search Partners since the day it launched. It will not tell you Display expansion is soaking Search budget. It will not tell you your ad groups mix emergency and elective intent under one headline.
Those are structural failures. They look fine in the graphs. They spend for months. Most owners only find them when they hire someone expensive to dig.
Without a structural pass, you optimise the wrong layer. You tweak bids on a campaign that was never aimed correctly in the first place.
Seven audit areas
The product reports on exactly seven areas. That count comes from the audit engine, not from a marketing round number.
01
Business & Vertical Fit
02
Conversion Tracking Health
03
Account Setup & Targeting
04
Wasted Ad Spend
05
Missed Traffic
06
Keyword & Quality Health
07
Ad & Landing Page Match
What it does
01
You sign in with Google and choose the Ads account. The scan starts read-only. Findings never change bids, budgets or keywords on their own.
02
Seven areas. Not a scorecard of yesterday’s clicks. Business fit, conversion tracking, account setup and targeting, wasted spend, missed traffic, keyword and quality health, and ad and landing page match. Each area comes back clean or with issues. Across the report you see both.
03
Google will tell you your click-through rate. It will never tell you your ad groups are incoherent, that Search Partners has been quietly spending since launch, or that location targeting is reaching people who only showed interest in your area.
04
Search terms with spend and no conversions are checked against the services on your website. Jobs, DIY and wrong-vertical queries are not treated the same as a near-miss that almost matches an offer you provide.
05
Clean areas are reported as clean. You see what is protecting performance, not only a list of failures. That matters when you need to know what not to touch.
06
Findings that are costing money now sit above tidy-ups. You get a plan, not a dump of every yellow flag in the account.
The rules
Rule 01
Detected and reported whenever partner search sites are left on. Budget meant for Google Search can soak there without looking like Display.
Rule 02
Search campaigns that also target the Display network are called out. That leak is a settings trap, not a performance insight.
Rule 03
Targeting that reaches people merely interested in your area is flagged. Interest is not the same as being in your service area.
Rule 04
Spend without conversions is judged against what the site actually sells. Universal junk and wrong verticals are separated from near-misses.
Rule 05
When conversion signals look broken or stale, the audit says so. Spend decisions that depend on those signals should not pretend the data is clean.
